CFOC New Virtual Training & Development Programme Launch on Monday 17 May at 6.30 PM
Dear Members & Supporters,
CFOC are delighted to announce the launch of their new virtual Training and Development Programme on Monday, 17 May at 6.30 pm-8 pm aimed at helping you in your political, community and/or career journeys.
We know that many talented individuals especially from the British Chinese communities want to contribute to public and political life. At CFOC, we want to help and support you to move your dial and be successful in achieving that goal.
Our programme will help you to prepare to stand for a position in any area of public life including developing and improving a range of extremely valuable skills and abilities you will need for a public role. These vital skill are also transferable to your business or working lives and career advancement too.
We are delighted to welcome Merrill Powell, who will lead our Training and Development Programme. She is a former television presenter, a women2win coach and trainer and has helped many people who are now MP’s.
Our first session will include an introduction to our new CFOC training and development and our speakers are:

Trudy Harrison MP - Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Prime Minister

Everyone is welcome as there is something for everyone on this programme
We will be delighted to welcome anyone who will benefit from the training and development on offer. So, wherever you are on your political or community development journey, come and join us as there is something for everyone on this programme. We will provide full details of all our courses at our launch on 17 May.
So if you are:
- a beginner starting out and keen to know more about local and national political and community involvement, how to get involved and develop the necessary skills required;
OR
- a Local Councillor or a Conservative Association Officer, in the intermediate stage of your political journey and want to progress further but need guidance and help with developing other core skills and become more involved locally or nationally;
OR
-a Parliamentary candidate in the advanced stages intending to stand again and keen to brush up on your core skills;
OR
- a community champion with ambition to do and achieve more including developing and improving core skills.
Everyone is welcome to join us and also meet other like-minded people.
