British Chinese communities, the Conservative Party and the local elections

I am proud to have help set up and lead the Conservative Friends of the Chinese (CFOC) as its Political Director from 2013-2017. Our Group was launched by Boris Johnson, the then Mayor of London (Foreign Secretary now) in the summer of 2013 to promote links between the British Chinese communities and the Conservative Party as well as enhancing the political, economic and cultural relations between the UK and China.

The Times: Tories still a long way from closing their ethnic gap

In Britain, the Conservatives face a similar challenge, if not (yet) as big. YouGov’s analysis of 4,000 ethnic minority voters, surveyed in the past four months, shows that the Tories have won over Britain’s Chinese community but no others.

Sheela Mackintosh-Stewart is a family law solicitor with considerable experience including working in large City of London practices and running a law firm in Knightsbridge. She was previously called as a barrister to the Middle Temple.

Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP was the Member of Parliament for Cirencester & Tewkesbury from 1992-1997, and has been the Member for the Cotswolds since 1997.

Jeremy Hunt

Jeremy Hunt is the MP for South West Surrey.

After the 2010 general election he was appointed as Culture, Media and Sport Secretary in the coalition government. In September 2012, Jeremy was appointed the Health Secretary. In July 2018, he was appointed the Foreign Secretary.
